He's holding up pretty well...

Biff is doing quite well. I mean, he's always more than ready for his dose of pain meds, but he's holding up, all things considered.

We even took a short walk with the dogs yesterday! He was bored and antsy but too tired for much else. Bundled him up good. It was lovely.

We had to do the pain meds at 2am again last night. Biff is too shaky to pour the 5ml dose himself, and I'm too worried he might try to take it when he shouldn't while he's groggy from his usual sleep meds. So, our deal is he wakes me at the 6-hour mark if he needs them, and so far he has. Looking forward to that first night he sleeps past the mark! Hate that the pain wakes him. Poor guy. Luckily, the oxycodone helps him sleep (he's snoozing right now, on and off, from the 8am dose).

I don't know about him, but I can feel myself beginning to brace for the results news we should get Tuesday morning... Fingers crossed they are able to pinpoint the source tumor!!!! In the meantime, we are taking it easy and staying calm.

Seems weird that Christmas Day is a week away - have to admit, I just haven't been caught up in the holiday spirit. Have hardly noticed the season. I hope you all are enjoying it. The Christmas lights in our neighborhood are lovely. We just haven't been able to get ourselves to worry about any of that for our place. And, yet, we've received thoughtful gifts from family - Biff's wearing new PJ's!

Life is such a strange and wonderous journey. We've spent 40 years together. And, it has just occurred to me, our wedding anniversary is a week from today, too (officially married 4 years ago)! And we'll spend it together. The most important thing!

If you aren't aware, we did a "surprise wedding" on Christmas Day 2018. Here's the video, if you're interested:

(If the video isn't available yet, it's still processing its upload - which is taking forever. Hopefully, it will appear soon. You can also find it on YouTube at: https://youtu.be/wkKyPxvtaTU )u)

Somehow, this Christmas together feels just as special, just as important to me.

Yeah, life is a strange and wonderous journey. 💖
